Wang Yang and D. Rogozin held the 19th meeting of the Commission for the preparation of regular Chinese-Russian summit

BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- On the eve of the 20th summit of China and the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, as co-chairs, held the 19th meeting of the Commission for the Preparation the summit of China and Russia.
At the summit, Mr. Yang noted that this year has become another evidence of the comprehensive deepening and development of strategic partnership between China and Russia. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held five meetings, outlining fields of comprehensive cooperation and further development of Chinese-Russian relations. According to Mr. Wang Yang, the parties need to put into practice the similar views of the leaders of the two states on key issues, expand and deepen cooperation in all spheres and industries.

He also mentioned, that Commission for the preparation of summit of China and Russia, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is an important mechanism for passing the baton from the past to the future. From the very beginning, this mechanism has proved to be highly effective in promoting the continuous deepening of practical cooperation. And despite the extremely difficult current state of the global economy, bilateral cooperation is still bringing huge results: trade ties are developing, the volume of mutual investments is increasing, and new breakthroughs in strategically significant joint projects are being achieved. According to Wang Yang, it will be good if the parties, on the basis of the successes already achieved, can update the cooperation concept, increase its scale, speed up the implementation of important joint projects, and give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
D. Rogozin stressed that Russia and China are strategic partners in all areas, the parties support each other in fundamental issues of protecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity and security. According to D. Rogozin, the Commission for the preparation of summit of China and Russia has played an important role in stimulating practical cooperation, and he hopes that the parties will intensify joint efforts to identify new points of grow in various fields of partnership.
During the meeting, government heads of two countries discussed mutual cooperation in nuclear industry, civil aviation, space exploration, trade, cross-border logistics and agriculture quite frankly and in detail.
