The Belt and The Road / Li Keqiang met with Russian President Vladimir Putin
Today in the afternoon at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived in China to participate in the High-Level Forum on International Cooperation within the framework of "The Belt and The Road".
Li Keqiang said that the development of comprehensive strategic cooperation and partnership between China and Russia at the high level continues with constant support. Chinese President Xi Jinping had a very successful meeting with V. Putin, at which once again many new agreements were reached. The Chinese party will work with the Russian party to take advantage of the favorable situation, implement the existing cooperation advantages in practice in such fields as finance, agriculture, energy and civil aviation, also at local level, to use complementarity benefits, identify hidden cooperation potential, to form a new structure of cooperation that will be moved by large-scale projects, and to joint assistance will be provided by medium and small-scale enterprises and enterprises of innovative type, to make the exchange in the humanitarian field closer, and to increase the number of new advantageous results of Chinese-Russian cooperation.
Li Keqiang noted that Chinese party intends, together with the Russian party, to successfully connect "One belt, One road" concept with the Eurasian Economic Union, provide new driving forces for the prosperity and development of the Eurasian continent, as well as for contribution to stability and growth of the global economy, formation of open and inclusive economic structures.
Vladimir Putin said that Russian-Chinese relations are developing successfully and consistently, cooperation mechanisms are functioning well, and trade and economic ties have entered a growth trajectory. The Russian party intends to implement bilateral cooperation agreements with Chinese party, promote cooperation on major projects in such fields as energy, transport, aviation and aerospace, increase humanitarian exchanges, including education, sports, media and cooperation at the local level and, in general, promote all-round development of Russian-Chinese relations and cooperation.
