Trans-Baikal Territory Governor Alexander Osipov met with the CEO of the New Land Grain Corridor (NLGC) holding Sergey Pushkin. Also, the event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Trans-Baikal Territory Prime Minister Alexander Bardaleev and First Deputy General Director of NLGC Alexey Gradov.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the development prospects for the new enterprise under construction, creation of infrastructure for employees, personnel policy, as well as the conclusion of an agreement on social cooperation between the regional government and the holding.
Sergey Pushkin said that the launch of the enterprise is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022.
“Currently, a large amount of work has already been completed in Zabaikalsk. Now more than 250 people are working at the construction site, after completion of works, the number of the terminal permanent employees will account 235 specialists. We started construction works in December 2020, the investment volume has already amounted to 6 billion rubles. This will be the largest land grain terminal in Russia,” said the CEO.
The New Land Grain Corridor is a holding that implements the same-named project in Siberia, Urals and Far East to create and develop an infrastructure for the export of grains and oilseeds to China and countries of Central Asia using the mechanism of "contract production" and formula pricing. Zabaikalsky Grain Terminal is the key element of the New Land Grain Corridor, it has a transshipment capacity of eight million tons per year. To provide achievement of the declared export volumes, the project also include plans to create a Main Linear Granary Network in other regions of Russia.
