Representatives of the FET production and export company attended the 1st North-South Transport Trade and Export forum held in Aktau (Kazakhstan) chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan S.M. Zhumangarin. The event was aimed at uniting the efforts of Eurasian states for the purpose of establishing a developed transport network as part of the North-South international transport corridor development contributing to the international trade cooperation enhancement.
FET, being actively involved in food supply chains in Asia and the Middle East, is interested in finding optimal routes for exporting products, as well as expanding transport and logistics capabilities to provide its customers with a high level of services. The event made it possible for the company to expand its partner base through new business contacts. During the forum, the FET delegation got to know the operations of the Aktau seaport, held numerous fruitful meetings with traders and transport and logistics companies of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Iran, outlining further cooperation development plans.
The North-South Transport Trade and Export Forum became the next step in the field of the Caspian region trade sector development, contributing to strengthen the agricultural products export potential. The event brought together over 440 participants from 14 countries (Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, UAE, Iran, Oman, Uzbekistan, etc.), representatives of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
