5 billion rubles will be invested in the construction of an elevator for grain storage in the Tyumen region. This will make an opportunity to arrange grain supplies to the largest Asian markets. A linear elevator with the cost of 5 billion rubles will be built in the Tyumen region within three years. This will make it possible to supply grain to the largest Asian markets, as the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor said on Thursday in his Telegram channel.
"An agreement with the New Land Grain Corridor company was signed at the SPIEF 2022.
With our support, investors intend to build a linear elevator in the Tyumen region, which can simultaneously store up to 200,000 tons of grain," according to the report.
The governor noted that the project is of strategic importance, as well as the part of a new scheme for the supply of Russian grain to the largest Asian markets. "Tyumen farmers will get new opportunities to increase grain production volumes and expand crop areas," Moor added.
The project investment volume will be up to 5 billion rubles, 135 jobs will be created. The project is planned to be implement by the investor in the next three years.
Summing up the results of the cooperation agreement with the region at SPIEF-2022, the New Land Grain Corridor CEO Sergey Pushkin said that after the launch of a linear elevator in the Tyumen Region, the volume of grain production in Siberia will increase three fold. It will be possible to expand the crop area and grow up to 80 million tons of grain instead of 20. "The project will become a part of a new scheme for supply of Russian grain to the largest Asian markets. Exports will increase two fold. Now the company is developing several routes," the information center of the Tyumen region Government quotes Pushkin.
