The head of state said that 83% of land transit traffic along the China-Europe corridor go through Kazakhstan.
"The large-scale Dostyk-Moiynty railway project will be implemented. This will increase the working capacity by five times more. The new Darbaza-Maktaral railway track will boost the development of transit traffic from Russia to Central Asia.
It is planned to build a high-speed Turkestan-Shymkent-Tashkent railway," he said.
The Kazakhstan leader also spoke about the prospects for the implementation of investment projects related to the development of nuclear energy, green hydrogen, digitalization based on the environmental, social and corporate governance principles.
The head of state also said that the policy of open doors for foreign investment remains a strategic priority for Kazakhstan.
Tokayev emphasized that the promise given to the people and honest businesses to end up with favoritism, special interests and privileges of the elite, corruption and oligopolies will be fulfilled.
The head of state said that from now on, the main goal of economic reforms would not be abstract GDP growth figures and global rankings, but increase income and living standards of our people.
