Indonesia allowed Russian companies to supply barley to the country. This was announced on 20 of January by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance).
"In December 2021, The Agricultural Quarantine Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture published the quarantine phytosanitary requirements on its official website, including the requirements for disinfection, imposed by Indonesia on Russian barley." the report says.
As it was specified, this decision was preceded by a four-year work performed by Rosselkhoznadzor with the competent department of Indonesia, which resulted in significant ease of the initially imposed quarantine phytosanitary requirements for Russian barley.
"Currently, only two Russian exporters are allowed to export grain crops to Indonesia, but if needed, interested parties can apply to the Rosselkhoznadzor," the press service of the Russian department added.
