Novaya Pristan LLC has launched design work on a new facility, which will include two deep-water berths, grain transportation ramps and auxiliary facilities. Novaya Pristan will boost the capacity of the export infrastructure by 9 million tons.
It is planned to complete the design work and obtain all approvals and documentation by mid-2023. While by June 2022, the designer shall submit the main technical solutions of the facility: type, structural concept, layout. The pier construction is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
The facility is being designed considering its proximity of neighboring berths and the results of mathematical modeling of mooring operations in the port water area.
The facility will provide Novaya Pristan LLC with the opportunity to solve government tasks in terms of increasing exports of Russian agro-industrial complex products.
"The launch of a design process actually marked the beginning of our implementation of a large investment project being one of the key elements of the Demetra-Holding and the OZK Group (United Grain Company) strategy to expand the export infrastructure of its port assets," said Andrey Anisimov, General Director of Novaya Pristan LLC.
Novaya Pristan LLC was established by PJSC NGP (Novorossiysk Grain Plant) and NZT LLC (Novorossiysk Grain Terminal), being part of Demetra-Holding. The major activity of the new company is the construction of new deep-water berths in the port of Novorossiysk. The company is a part of the Sea Ports of Russia federal project of the transport part of a comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the key infrastructure for the period of up to 2024.
Demetra-Holding is Russia's largest vertically integrated grain holding accumulating assets in the field of transport export logistics and trading. It includes: Novorossiysk Grain Terminal (100%), Novorossiysk Grain Plant (35.36%), Taman Grain Terminal Complex'' (50%).
