China considers Russian wheat of high quality and holds out hope for deliverie

China considers Russian wheat of extremely high quality and hopes to manage its import from Russia, Ren Zhengxiao, head of the State Food Administration of China, told to "RIA Novosti" on Tuesday.

“Russian wheat has very important advantages: very high quality and guaranteed food safety. We hope that Russian companies will make efforts to organize wheat export to China," said Ren Zhengxiao.

He also noted that at present Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of agriculture and food industry is developing very well and China is open for the supply of quality products from any country of the world, especially from Russia.

At the end of March, Deputy Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin said that active supplies of wheat from Russian Federation to China will begin in the next agricultural year, when Russia ensures separate grain storage.

Last week, Russian trade representative in China Alexey Gruzdev said that the Russian party expects that this year will bring a possibility to obtain permission on supplies of additional kinds of grain crops and processed products to China.
