government of the Russian Federation has been paying close attention to the Far East regional development, the Federal Law "Advanced development zones in the Russian Federation" and the Federal Law "On the Free Port of Vladivostok" were approved, and various benefits were provided for the development of this region by the government. This, according to him, will open up new favorable opportunities for the contribution of Chinese enterprises in promotion of the Russian Far East.
Ling Ji recalled that in September 2015, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wang Yang, as the head of a large-scale trade and economic delegation, took part in the first Eastern Economic Forum that took place in Vladivostok. In accordance with the agreement reached by the heads of two states, the Council on Cooperation of Northeast regions of China and the Far East region of the Russian Federation was formed. Both parties agreed to implement a number of exemplary projects in the leading industries, including port logistics, natural resource development, modern agriculture, transport and tourism infrastructure development.
Speaking about the 3rd China-Russia EXPO, which will be held in July this year in Yekaterinburg, Lin Ji noted that such kind of event will take place in Russia for the first time, and it serves as an important platform for the development of Chinese-Russian trade and economic cooperation.
Ling Ji said that so far, more than 250 enterprises from 15 provinces and direct-administered municipalities of China have applied for participation in upcoming EXPO, the total exhibition area will cover about 10,000 square meters. More than 10 important commercial events are planned to be organized during the EXPO.
