A new federal law has entered into force, providing for the establishment of a state register of agricultural land in Russia. It will be operated by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
The state register will contain data on agricultural lands in all regions of Russia, on their condition and status of use, and other data. To develop the register information obtained in the process of state monitoring of agricultural land will be used.
"Establishment of such register is very important, since government agencies need information about the actual use of land. Thus, accurate supervision and accounting of the land will be performed," the information and analytical agency Fertilizer Daily commented.
