Tokayev: Kazakhstan plans to build four more cross-border hubs
Kazakhstan plans to build four more cross-border hubs: two on the border with Russia, and two more on the borders with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
This was announced by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev in his video message to the participants of the Altyn Sapa award ceremony, the press service of Akorda reports.
Tokayev told about the infrastructure development to provide an opportunity to enter domestic business into the markets of neighboring countries
“The government is consistently developing a modern infrastructure to provide domestic businesses with the opportunity to enter the markets of neighboring countries. The International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation "Khorgos" continues to work successfully. In the context of this work, it is planned to build four more cross-border hubs: two on the border with Russia, and two on the borders with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan,” Tokayev said.
According to the head of state, this will reduce transaction costs, improve the efficiency of transport logistics and, as a result, increase Kazakhstan exports.
