The production and export company "EPT" (part of the Russian Group of Companies "New Overland Grain Corridor"), within the framework of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum, signed two contracts for the production and supply of grains, legumes and oilseeds to the People's Republic of China. Contracts concluded with the Chinese trading company Noble Home and the Chinese transport logistics company Trans Eurasia (Tianjin) International Logistics are valid until 2032 and can be extended. The long-term contract portfolio of the "Food Export Trade" company, taking into account these orders and the twelve-year largest contract in Russia, previously signed with the Chinese state corporation China Chengtong, reached 100 million tons.
These contracts are considered another practical step in the implementation of the instructions of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to prepare and conclude an intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China on the project “New Overland Grain Corridor Russia - China” in order to increase grain production volumes in the territories of the Far Eastern, Ural and Siberian federal districts, as well as the volume of its exports to the market of the People's Republic of China. They also provide a stable basis for the development of the grain “contract production” using advance payment, formula pricing and full agronomic support of the production process.
Transshipment of agricultural products under these contracts will be carried out at the facilities of the Grain Terminal Zabaikalsk and at the new Grain Terminals build by Group "NLGC".
