The Governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast Andrey Travnikov accompanied by a delegation consisting of the Minister of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Oblast Lev Reshetnikov, Acting Minister of Agriculture Andrey Shindelov, Head of the Kargatsky District Valery Fleck and the management of the Investment Development Agency paid a working visit to the headquarters of the Food Export Trade Company.
The delegation got acquainted with the results and prospects of implementation of the New Land Grain Corridor program implemented by the group of companies of the same name, which is aimed at realizing the agricultural potential of the Urals, Siberia, and the Far East, increasing exports of grain, legumes and oilseeds to Asia and the Middle East, developing logistics infrastructure, and forming new food supply chains.
Food Export Trade within the structure of the Group of Companies NLGC is an authorized operator for the development of "contract production" of grain and main elevator infrastructure in the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. The company's activities are aimed at increasing grain production in the territories of the three federal districts by up to 60 million tons in the medium term and up to 90 million tons in the long term. This is possible due to the application of the well-proven mechanism of contract farming based on the conclusion of long-term contracts with advance payment, formula pricing, and full agronomic support of production.
In addition, the production and export company is implementing a program for the construction of 7-line elevators (200,000 tons of storage each), which will enable it to provide one-time storage of 1.4 million tons and a turnover of up to 4 million tons per year. The development of elevator infrastructure will help stimulate agricultural production and ensure regular grain shipments for export.
The activities of the Food Export Trade Company will contribute to the development of agriculture and related industries in the Novosibirsk Oblast. Through the construction and commissioning of a linear elevator in the town of Karagat, the company will create more than 300 jobs. Within the framework of the implementation of the company's investment development strategy and already signed contracts for the production and supply of grain to China and the Middle East, the planned tax revenues only to the regional budget up to and including 2035 are estimated at about 300 billion rubles. Over the same time period, the region's total output and supplies of grain to friendly nations will come to approximately 28 million tons.
The Situation Center's work monitoring contract farming of grain and agroengineering—which makes high agricultural production outcomes possible—was presented to the delegation during the visit. Through the use of scientific and practical methods as well as a proprietary system for modeling, forecasting, and agronomic process management, agronomic support is given to the producer. The system is based on data obtained by the Pryanishnikov Institute of Agrochemistry within the framework of the largest sectoral scientific research on 32 million hectares of arable land since the time of the USSR. These data allow to create optimal crop rotation maps for these regions and apply the most effective cultivation technologies in order to increase soil yields and minimize the risks associated with agroclimatic factors. Farmers are able to meet the requirements of importing countries by producing grain products that meet specific quantitative and qualitative parameters.
