Project investment volume will amount up to 5 billion rubles.
According to the authorities, after the implementation of the project, Omsk region will become a part of the network of seven largest linear elevators in the regions of Russia, which are integrated into the "contract farming" system - an internationally recognized production mechanism for export-oriented products with formulaic price determination.
— Thanks to "contract production", taking into account the level of development of modern technologies, in the long term we plan to increase agricultural production in Russia beyond the Urals from today's 20 million tons per year to 80 million tons, which will allow our country to become a leading player in the food market of this macro-region, — said General Director of NLGC Sergey Pushkin.
This investment project in the Omsk Region is the part of the large-scale project "New Land Grain Corridor" in order to create a network of the largest linear elevators on the territory of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that form a part of the Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Regions, with a total one-time storage capacity of up to 1.4 million tons (seven linear elevators for simultaneous storage of 200 thousand tons each) and Grain Terminal Zabaikalsk (GTZ) with transshipment capacity of 8 million tons per year in the Trans-Baikal Territory, 4 km from the Chinese border.
